Specimen Requirements
Preferred:
Container/Tube: Green cap-yellow ring Top (Lithium Heparin Gel) tube
Minimum Volume: Full
Collection Instructions: Specimen must arrive on wet ice as soon as possible after draw.
Also Acceptable:
Container/Tube: Green Top (Sodium Heparin) or Lavendar (EDTA) collected on ice
Note: If specimen collection occurs at off-site, specimen should be collected in EDTA, centrifuged, aliquoted (seperated from cells), and refrigerated. Once seperated, refrigerate 2-8°C during transport, test within 3 hours.

11-35 µmol/L
Specimen Stability
Should be tested ASAP.
