Specimen Requirements

Preferred:
Container/Tube: Sterile screw-capped container
Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL 
Collection Instructions:  Maintain specimen anaerobically untill testing. Testing should occur ASAP. If there is more than a 1 hour delay, speicmen should be placed on ice and tested within 4 hours. The specimen must come to room temperature (for no more than an hour) before testing.
