Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube: Screw-capped, sterile container
Minimum Volume: Total ejaculate
Collection Instructions:
1. Patient should practice 2 to 7 days of sexual abstinence before semen collection for accurate results.
2. Forward promptly at as close to body temperature as possible.
3. Specimens accepted from 6am to 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Reference Values
According to AUA guidelines, occlusive effectiveness is defined as azoospermia or RNMS, which is the presence of <100,000 non-motile sperm/mL (<0.10 M/mL) based on microscopic evaluation of at least 50 HPFs, assuming no motile sperm are observed.
