Specimen Requirements
**Plasma or serum AND urine are required for this test. Plasma or serum specimen should preferably be drawn at the end of the 24-hour period of urine collection.**
Urine Specimen
Preferred:
Container/Tube: Plastic urine container
Minimum Volume: 0.5ml
Collection Instructions: Patient’s height and weight and starting and ending times of collection are required. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection, and send specimen refrigerated.

Container/Tube: Green cap-yellow ring Top (Lithium Heparin Gel) tube
Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge within 2 hours.
